  1. I am the son of Frank Ephraim Gilstrap, grandson of Eric Hubert Gilstrap, and great grandson of David Franklin and Melvina Josephine (Jory) Gilstrap. I have compiled considerable info on my family’s history related to my father and grandfather, and have relied on the wealth of info on this website to compile/fill in gaps on my great grandmother’s family. Many thanks – Frank, Jr.

  2. My fathers cousin was Victor Jory and he palled around with Victor when they were young. My fathers aunt was Joanne Jory, her maiden name was Joanne Snyder. Her brothers, Bert, Clifford and Frank Snyder came west from Kentucky to California and Oregon. In California they raised and trained animals for the movies. They also opened a nursery in Burbank Ca. My grandmother Judith Steele married Frank Snyder in Oregon. So I would be second cousin to Victor Jory. I have two brothers and two sisters. David, Frank Jr., Judith and Bertha Ann (Snyder) Bajovich. Judith is married to Larry Hoy and Bertha Ann is a widow huband’s name was Bajovich

  3. lol my surname is Jory… this is cool and weird at the same time, I wonder if i’m related. I reckon I probably am as i was born in Australia (not sure if you guys who made this were as well though) and those ancestors there that you posted are English, maybe somewhere down the line there were convicts that were sent to Australia…maybe? or I’m completely different family and we just have the same last idk.
